2024 COVID-19 PRACTICES

All patients must be vaccinated against COVID-19. As a health care provider, Carrie has been fully vaccinated since January 2021, and has had all available boosters.

New patient appointments occur in two parts. First, via Zoom, an in-depth history taking, review of findings, lifestyle recommendation, and herbal prescription. Your first acupuncture session can then take place in the office. Please schedule this two-parter by clicking the “book an appointment” button.

As always, the treatment table will be cleaned between each patient. Bring a light-weight scarf if you might feel chilly in the air-conditioning. An IQ Health Pro hospital grade air purifier will be running in each room at all times. As weather permits, windows will be open to circulate fresh air. MASKS ARE OPTIONAL. Carrie is very happy to wear a mask if it makes you more comfortable.

Ask a Biochemist!

Many of my patients have asked me about the development, safety, and efficacy of Covid-19 vaccines, and their use across multiple populations - the pregnant, nursing, immunocompromised, old, young. I took their questions, and a few of my own, and I asked a biochemist! In the one-hour Zoom chat below, I interviewed my colleague Mark Reese, an acupuncturist with a Master’s degree in biochemistry on every aspect of the vaccines I could think of. The result is engaging, interesting, and reassuring. Watch for yourself, and share with friends and family.
